Salams all, yes yes I know I have been lazy and lazy and lazy but I'm trying I really am!
My charity group AMARA organised our second charity event which was held last weekend, so Ive been really busy organsising that but it wont be stopping as we have more planned inshAllah. We held a fundraising dinner for Syria and as you can see on the side bar of the blog we have the donations button so there's still time to donate if you haven't already inshAllah.
Alhamdulillah it was a great night, the venue was beautiful with amazing food (you know I love my food!!) we had our beautiful speaker Saara speak from the heart about charity and the hardships the Syrians are enduring mashAllah. It really hit home when she said that they had given up on everyone, they had given up on countries, and peoples and humanity for help, but they would never give up on Allah, subhanAllah may Allah never test us they way they are being tested!
Alhamdulillah we raised approx $30,000 may Allah reward all those involved from the AMARA team, to the volunteers,people that donated goods and money and those that attended and supported all our efforts!
